Position Summary

We are in search of a seasoned Director of Software Quality Assurance with a specialization in automation to lead and expand our QA team. This pivotal role encompasses the oversight of the entire quality assurance lifecycle, from strategizing and executing tests to managing the automation framework. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in software testing, exemplary leadership capabilities, and a dedication to ongoing enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and oversee a team of QA engineers, fostering their professional development and success.
  • Automation Framework Development: Formulate and execute a thorough automation testing strategy, selecting appropriate tools, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Test Management: Supervise the formulation and execution of automated test plans, cases, and scripts to guarantee comprehensive coverage of product features.
  • Quality Assurance Standards: Establish and uphold QA processes and standards, integrating continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) methodologies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various teams, including development, product management, and operations, to ensure alignment on quality objectives.
  • Quality Metrics: Define and monitor essential quality metrics, providing regular updates to leadership regarding testing progress and product quality.
  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development teams for prompt resolution.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in automation testing, consistently seeking improvements in QA processes and tools.

Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role focused on automation.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Advanced QA or automation certifications are advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Demonstrated experience with automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
    • Strong grasp of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and devise effective solutions.
    • Proficiency in programming languages relevant to test automation (e.g., Java, Python).
    • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
    • Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
