Job Overview:


This role is pivotal in establishing an architectural vision and solutions that align with the strategic objectives of the Business' Products and Services.

Key responsibilities encompass defining the target operational environment, ensuring client resilience, assisting in solution design, and articulating non-functional requirements.

Expectations for this role include collaborating with stakeholders and service providers in alignment with the Business' strategic goals, assessing the implications of strategic design choices, and contributing to the architectural roadmap.


Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to join our innovative technology resiliency team.

This individual will play a vital role in collaborating with technical service owners to evaluate application recovery capabilities across various failure scenarios and thoughtfully design data validation and testing methodologies.

This position necessitates cooperation with production support, engineering, core infrastructure functions, as well as developers and architects.

The Senior Architect operates as an individual contributor and reports directly to the head of Global Resiliency and Business Continuity.


Key Responsibilities:


Collaborate across business, operations, and technology to formulate the solution intent and architectural vision for complex solutions, prioritizing functional and non-functional requirements into a technology backlog that supports the technology roadmap and evolving capabilities.

Contribute to the development of the architecture roadmap across defined domains (Business, Application, Data, and Technology) in support of the product roadmap and the establishment of best practices, including standardized templates.

Clarify architectural designs, assist with system design for implementation, and provide solution alternatives to address any architectural challenges.

Facilitate solution-oriented discussions, lead the design of intricate architectures, and devise innovative solutions through domain knowledge, practical experimentation, and proof of concepts while ensuring the architecture remains flexible, modular, and adaptable.

Educate team members on technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices to foster innovative solutions.
Support the team in selecting the necessary technology stack for solutions and assist in choosing preferred technology products.

Conduct design and code reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements are adequately addressed (e.g., security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability).


Required Qualifications:
Proficient in full stack build techniques, automation, and data protection.

Adaptable and hands-on – comfortable providing guidance while also engaging directly in the execution of necessary planning and testing artifacts.

Ability to assimilate information and work with multiple distinct and potentially unrelated services, each encompassing 2 – 20 critical applications.

Quick learner with the ability to adapt swiftly.
Highly organized, capable of prioritizing tasks simultaneously and managing numerous time-sensitive issues.

Desired Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in software architecture, technology architecture, or equivalent.
Experience in failure analysis and contingency planning.
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
