About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Coordinator to join our Operations Department. As a Claims Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter claims into our proprietary software system and submit accepted claims to the Transcription Department.
  • Perform the preliminary setup for Claims Analysts, ensuring that the claims process runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Monitor incoming claim notifications and ensure all required claim submission documents are present and legible.
  • Notify the Lead Claims Coordinator when documents are missing or illegible.
  • Efficiently perform the initial setup of individual claims in the system.
  • Accurately enter claim information for the analyst.
  • Place claims in the correct status and escalate problematic claims to the Lead Claims Coordinator.
  • Transfer claim documents to the Transcription Department seamlessly.
  • Notify management when a re-bill is received.
  • Conduct initial analysis of data and documents submitted by clients, including claims, EOBs, bills, policies, and correspondence.
  • Fill out request forms for additional information and submit them to the Senior Claims Analyst.
  • Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and other security requirements.
Requirements
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM.
  • Experience working with Adobe.
  • Proficient data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow procedures meticulously.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience using multiple monitors.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to all company-specific software.
  • Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
