As a Collections Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include attempting to locate and notify customers with delinquent loans. You will communicate with customers to determine the reason for delinquency and to collect delinquent payments and late charges. This role also involves analyzing financial statements, tax returns, and other documentation to recommend the appropriate course of action.
Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing and sending required correspondence to borrowers, investors, and other parties.
- Reviewing collections efforts and recommending a course of action.
- Adhering to current guidelines and collection procedures.
- Preparing various reports and performing record-keeping functions.
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under pressure. A degree in a business-related field or two years of office-related experience is required.
Preferred qualifications include one year of collection experience. You will also need to be proficient in keyboarding, spreadsheet software, and office machines. The ability to handle confidential information and work under tight deadlines is essential.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively present information to various stakeholders.
