About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide support to children in various settings, including intermediate units, public, private, and charter schools. The role involves providing assistance to teachers by helping students with challenges outlined in their Individualized Education Program (IEP) assessment, ages 3-21 years old.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support and assistance to teachers in maintaining established routines and procedures of the school and classroom.
- Meet and instruct assigned classes in designated locations and times.
- Maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
- Use positive verbal and non-verbal skills to enhance learning.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information concerning students, staff, or parent/guardian in any public setting.
- Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and School Board policies.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Committed to working with a diverse student population.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with students.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED.
- Experience working with students.
- Great team player with solid time management skills or ability.
