Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a Substitute Teacher at Bridges Public Charter School. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity of our educational program and providing a supportive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement lesson plans and instructional strategies to meet the needs of students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
  • Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents to ensure a smooth transition and maintain a high level of student engagement.
  • Monitor and manage classroom behavior, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Participate in Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings to share best practices and collaborate with colleagues on instructional strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives and programs that promote student success.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding of instructional strategies and classroom management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
