Project Controls Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our team at M.C. Dean, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing project planning and scheduling support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide project planning and scheduling documentation to support project and customer requirements.
- Assist in creating and revising preliminary master schedules, detailing the sequence of all work to be performed.
- Evaluate actual progress and provide regular schedule updates.
- Interfacing with Operations to discuss impact of work and resolution of problems.
- Contribute to the development of working schedules for Estimating, prior to proposal date, which sufficiently illustrate the sequence of work activities and contract time.
- Assist in preparing and issuing proposal and preliminary schedule.
- Incorporate Resource and/or Cost Loading data into schedules as required.
- Consult appropriate project team members and estimating procedures as a means of ensuring that proper planning is completed prior to the commencement of work.
- Assist Project Managers in creating short-term schedules, monitoring such schedules to determine impact on master schedule, and helping in formulating actions to correct scheduling problems.
- Provide information as needed on the content, modification, or presentation of project schedule.
- Remain current on the advancements in scheduling software.
- Continuously expand and update professional knowledge and honing training skills in order to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
- 6+ years of experience with a High School Diploma or
- 4+ years of experience with an Associate's degree or
- 0+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree
- Preferred but not required: Project Management Software (PM Online) – In-house Software, AS400 (internal), CMMS software, Primavera P6 software
- Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
- Have finger dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
- Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
- Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
- Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
