Job Overview

As a key member of the Trust Services department, the Trust Accountant will engage in advanced consultative services, financial analysis, and technical support. This role is pivotal in delivering fiduciary and operational services, ensuring the integrity of financial transactions, and maintaining client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal departments, providing professional and timely service.
  • Process and review financial transactions, including disbursements and deposits, in accordance with client instructions.
  • Monitor daily activities and data integrity, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute routine and ad-hoc financial reports, maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of client-related documents and transactions, recommending enhancements to processes.
  • Assist in cash management services, analyzing complex financial data to support client needs.
  • Participate in the training and development of departmental staff, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.

Qualifications

  • A degree from an accredited institution in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in banking, treasury, or trust operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Skills and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of treasury and trust operations, including relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
