Position Overview

The Texas Treasury Safekeeping Trust Company is seeking a highly skilled Trust Accountant to join our team. This role involves delivering advanced consultative services, conducting financial analyses, and providing technical support within the Trust Services department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between clients and various departments, ensuring effective communication and professional service.
  • Provide fiduciary and operational support, including cash management services tailored to client needs.
  • Process, review, and authorize transactions based on client instructions, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Monitor daily operations, maintaining accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Generate and distribute regular and ad-hoc reports in alignment with company standards.
  • Document and refine departmental procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of client requests and maintain comprehensive client records.
  • Assist in training and guiding junior staff, promoting a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

  • A degree from an accredited institution in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in banking, treasury, or trust operations.
  • Proficiency in customer service with a focus on direct client interaction.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
