Job Summary

The Senior RFP Specialist is a key member of the Virtus Investment Partners team, responsible for preparing responses to institutional and retail RFPs and due diligence questionnaires. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage competing obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Response Preparation: Write high volumes of RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, and client updates for institutional and retail prospects/clients, focusing on larger and/or more complex RFPs and consultant questionnaires that require additional research, analysis, creativity, and judgment.
  • Peer Review: Serve as peer reviewer for teammates' requests as needed, ensuring high-quality responses that meet Virtus Investment Partners' standards.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Serve as team subject matter expert for assigned affiliate(s) and Virtus department(s), responsible for serving as liaison with affiliate/department, ensuring consistency of responses across the organization, coordinating quarterly reporting, managing communications, and serving as primary contact for affiliate RFP team.
  • Support and Collaboration: Support Affiliate RFP teams and internal departments as needed by responding to ad-hoc requests related to RFP responses, and assist the consultant database team with content review and other support.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of investment management industry experience.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of financial products and asset classes, with a preference for experience working with real assets.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work under deadlines and manage competing obligations.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with the ability to take direction and work independently, with the ability to effectively manage new projects, existing maintenance, shifting priorities, and multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $84,000 to $117,000, with the starting salary offer varying based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan.
