About Our Client

Our client is a leading developer, investor, and operator of sustainable energy projects in the U.S. Their goal is to accelerate the energy transition through the development of utility-scale solar, wind, hydro, battery energy storage, and natural gas projects.

Job Description

The Senior Project Developer (Wind) will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with the engineering team and external consultants to evaluate site layouts and constraints, technology options, schedule implications, interconnection applications, and studies.
  • Directing and conducting due diligence on development-stage projects and portfolio acquisitions, including comparison and prioritization of multiple opportunities based on common siting, permitting, interconnection, power-marketing, and other project metrics.
  • Managing external stakeholders supporting environmental assessment campaigns and property and sales tax abatement efforts.
  • Managing occasional permitting activities with support from other team members.
  • Preparing project budgets, schedules, and RFP responses.

  • 2-7 years of experience in the renewable energy industry with full life-cycle development.
  • Experience with development of utility-scale wind projects in ERCOT, WECC, and/or CAISO.
  • Knowledge of governmental mandates, environmental regulations, or customer/market signals that impact or facilitate new development of renewable projects.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
