Position Overview

We are seeking an Admissions Clerk to enhance our growing team. The Admissions Clerk will serve as the initial point of contact for clients during their intake process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome clients upon arrival, ensuring a hospitable environment.
  • Complete electronic medical records (EMR) intake documentation with client signatures.
  • Coordinate initial nursing assessments and counseling sessions for clients.
  • Assist clients with their belongings upon arrival.
  • Collaborate with the intake department to identify suitable programs and services for clients.
  • Conduct individual peer support sessions during the intake process.
  • Maintain positive relationships with intake staff, administrative personnel, and external agencies.
  • Participate in required training sessions and adhere to program policies and ethical standards.
  • Safeguard client information in compliance with privacy policies and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in healthcare and substance abuse preferred.
  • Must possess appropriate state and federal clearances.
  • Peer Support Certification is a plus.

Additional Skills:

  • Understanding of recovery principles and service systems.
  • Familiarity with insurance regulations and community health resources.
  • Knowledge of the effects of substance use on individuals and families.
  • Proficient in computer use, particularly in a Windows and EMR environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage responsibilities effectively.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle crises with composure.
  • Exhibit professionalism and courtesy in all interactions.
  • Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 10 lbs.
