Position Overview

We are currently looking for an Admissions Clerk to become an integral part of our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and efficient intake process for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the initial point of contact for clients during their intake process.
• Create a warm and inviting atmosphere for new clients.
• Complete electronic medical records (EMR) intake documentation with client consent.
• Coordinate initial assessments and counseling sessions for clients.
• Assist clients with their personal belongings upon arrival.
• Collaborate with the intake department to identify suitable programs and services for clients.
• Conduct individual peer support sessions during the intake process.
• Maintain positive relationships with intake staff, administrative personnel, and external agencies.
• Participate in required training sessions and adhere to program policies and ethical standards.
• Safeguard client privacy in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in healthcare or substance abuse preferred.
• Must possess appropriate state and federal clearances.
• Peer Support Certification is a plus.

Additional Skills:

• Understanding of recovery principles and service systems.
• Familiarity with insurance regulations and community health resources.
• Knowledge of the effects of substance use on individuals and families.
• Proficient in computer usage, particularly in a Windows and EMR environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain confidentiality.
• Exhibit professionalism and courtesy in all interactions.
• Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 10 lbs.
