We are currently in search of a Clinical Assessment Specialist to enhance our dedicated team. This role involves overseeing the delivery of proficient assessment services to clients, conducting audits of clinician assessments, and providing training to assessment clinicians and other personnel as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments for clients, including diagnosis and adherence to ASAM criteria.
- Advise on suitable levels of care for clients.
- Collaborate with fellow clinical assessment professionals and medical staff regarding recommendations.
- Conduct evaluations to ascertain if a client requires a higher level of care, along with corresponding recommendations.
- Facilitate training for assessment clinicians and medical providers on diagnosis and ASAM criteria.
- Execute initial, concurrent, and retrospective reviews of assessments to ensure accurate diagnosis and compliance with ASAM criteria.
- Prepare reports reflecting assessment outcomes.
- Participate in all assigned administrative meetings and discussion groups, completing tasks as required.
- Assist in training new staff to enhance service delivery.
- Lead the implementation of necessary program modifications.
- Consult with medical, clinical, and other personnel to validate treatment legitimacy and determine length of stay.
- Analyze insurance, governmental, and accreditation standards to establish criteria for admissions, treatment, and client stay duration.
- Engage in all mandated state and staff regulatory training.
- Uphold program policies and procedures while adhering to a professional code of ethics.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of all client information in accordance with ARC's privacy policies and relevant laws.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Must possess an APRN, DO, PA, or MD degree and hold a valid license in Kentucky.
- Independent licensure is preferred.
- Previous administrative experience is essential.
- Experience in delivering lectures on addiction and facilitating group sessions is advantageous.
- Background in substance abuse treatment is preferred.
- Must have appropriate State and Federal Clearances.
Additional Qualifications:
- Understanding of recovery principles and a recovery-oriented service system.
- Familiarity with community health resources that enhance physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
- Knowledge of the 12-Step Recovery Program.
- Awareness of the impact of substance use on individuals and families.
- Understanding of relevant Federal, State, and Municipal laws regulating addiction treatment.
- Competency in problem-solving, stress management, ethics, and team collaboration.
- Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and undertake responsibilities beyond the job description as part of a treatment team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage crisis situations with composure.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
- Exhibit professional and courteous behavior consistent with ARC's mission when interacting with diverse individuals.
- Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 10 lbs.
- Proficient in operating office equipment and technology.
