About the Role

We are currently looking for an Admissions Clerk to enhance our dedicated team. This role is vital in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for clients as they begin their journey with us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for clients during their intake process.
  • Create a hospitable environment for new clients.
  • Complete electronic medical records (EMR) intake documentation with client signatures.
  • Coordinate initial nursing assessments and counseling sessions for clients.
  • Assist clients with their personal belongings upon arrival.
  • Collaborate with the intake department to identify suitable programs and services for clients.
  • Conduct individual Peer Support sessions with clients during intake.
  • Maintain positive relationships with intake staff, administrative personnel, and external agencies.
  • Participate in required staff and regulatory training.
  • Uphold program policies and maintain a professional code of ethics.
  • Safeguard the privacy of client information in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in healthcare and substance abuse is preferred.
  • Possess appropriate state and federal clearances.
  • Peer Support Certification is a plus.

Additional Skills:

  • Understanding of recovery principles and service systems.
  • Familiarity with insurance regulations.
  • Knowledge of community health resources that promote holistic well-being.
  • Awareness of the impact of substance use on individuals and families.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Windows and EMR software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality and manage crisis situations calmly.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with diverse clients.
  • Physical ability to perform job functions, including lifting and mobility.
