Job Summary

The Development Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing the development department's fundraising activities, providing proactive and effective administrative support to cultivate and steward donors. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to hunger relief.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic planning and execution of new donor, monthly donor, and mid-level programs, including cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation.
  • Managing a personal portfolio of mid-level major gift donors and monthly donors, practicing relationship-based fundraising and aligning donor giving priorities with organizational priorities.
  • Tracking all donor interactions in the database and providing reports to support front-line fundraising staff.
  • Drafting written materials for the development department, including regularly updated stewardship communications for donors.
  • Executing the holiday tribute card campaign.
  • Managing regular Development Volunteers, coordinating scheduling to assist with mailings, stewardship, and other projects.
  • Leading weekly donor thank-you calls with the CEO, creating call lists in coordination with gift officers, and tracking all call details in the CRM system.
  • Managing prospect research for the development department, conducting regular wealth screenings of donors and prospects, creating donor profiles, and providing additional research support to relationship managers.
  • Managing the donor engagement program for the development department, including monthly touchpoint meetings with the development and communications/marketing teams, providing reports for the development team, and coordinating with the marketing/communications, programs, and finance departments for all resources needed for stewardship and cultivation events.
  • Continually developing donor prospects through various sources.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, and two years of experience in Development, Marketing, Fundraising, or related experience, preferably in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Proficiency with computer operations, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience with Donor Databases preferred.
  • A valid Arkansas driver's license and proof of insurance required.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
