Job Summary

This position plays a critical role in the revenue cycle process, working closely with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure accurate and timely billing and payment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the collection and processing of patient accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, using computer systems and software to track and manage patient accounts.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Two to three years of experience in healthcare or a related field, with a focus on revenue cycle management or patient financial services.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software, including electronic health records and billing systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and departmental policies related to revenue cycle management and patient financial services.
