This role offers a hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters for two days each week.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Embrace and promote nuclear safety culture and human performance principles at Westinghouse.
  • Support and/or lead internal departmental projects, which may include:
    • Initiatives aimed at enhancing the estimation process for new plant constructions.
    • Development of a comprehensive database for Front End Engineering Development (FEED) scopes and technical descriptions.
    • Optimization strategies for long lead procurement items (LLIs) and AP1000 construction support.
  • Collaborate with construction partners, module suppliers, potential clients, and regulatory bodies to support stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Contribute to various aspects of future bidding and proposal efforts, including:
    • Reviewing technical specifications for new nuclear power plants from prospective clients.
    • Evaluating partnership proposals from other design organizations.
    • Formulating Westinghouse's technical positions with input from relevant technical groups and experienced resources.
    • Defending these positions in discussions with potential clients or partners.
    • Assessing incoming technical requests and devising response plans.
  • Compile existing technical design information across various domains into comprehensive reports.
  • Implement approved response plans, ensuring tasks are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Engage with responsible engineering groups for any necessary calculations, analyses, or reviews to meet project commitments.

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with a preference for Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with 3-6+ years preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to build effective networks across various functional areas.
