Job Summary:

Clinical Staff Pharmacist is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the provision of safe and effective drug therapies. This role involves coordinating the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical pharmacy services to promote desirable patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Clinical Pharmacy Services: Facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe and cost-effective drug therapies.
  • Coordinate Clinical Pharmacy Services: Work closely with healthcare teams to coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical pharmacy services.
  • Staff Pharmacist Responsibilities: Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management, patient education, and medication use evaluation.
  • Requirements: Current license to practice pharmacy in New York State, NYS Driver's License, and car insurance. Maintain NYS continuing education requirements.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited pharmacy school with a Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree, residency training from an accredited institution, and at least 2 years of hospital experience as a clinical pharmacist.
  • Skills and Abilities: Knowledgeable of pharmacy distribution systems and computer systems, including databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and chart/graphing software. Demonstrates good interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and ability to resolve conflicts in a calm manner.
