Samaritan Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing safe and effective drug therapies to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services to promote desirable patient outcomes.
- Coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical pharmacy services.
- Work as a Staff Pharmacist, providing clinical pharmacy services and supporting the pharmacy team.
- Ensure compliance with New York State pharmacy regulations and maintain current licensure.
- Participate in residency training from an accredited institution, if applicable.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of pharmacy distribution systems and computer systems, including databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and chart/graphing software.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Exercise good judgment in decision-making and work efficiently under deadline pressures.
- Maintain a high degree of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Current license to practice Pharmacy in New York State.
- NYS Driver's License and car insurance.
- Maintain NYS continuing education requirements.
- Graduation from an accredited pharmacy school with a Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- At least 2 years of hospital experience as a clinical pharmacist.
- Previous experience in a hospital environment is preferred.
