Position Overview

We are in search of a Senior Buyer Planner for a prominent Aerospace manufacturing firm. This role is pivotal in managing the planning, scheduling, and procurement processes for designated product lines.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday

Compensation:
$80,000 - $100,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products, utilizing advanced manufacturing information systems.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of parts and components for production related to assigned product lines.
  • Regularly update production schedules and make necessary adjustments.
  • Stay informed about manufacturing cycles and customer demand, suggesting job combinations and quantity increases to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure availability of items by collaborating with Production Control to manage purchased parts requirements and release purchase orders through the MRP system.
  • Research and negotiate supplier pricing and sources as needed.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to company standards for quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct price and cost analyses, effectively communicating the benefits to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate integration of suppliers with technical teams for product lines as necessary.
  • Prepare and negotiate requests for quotations, selecting suitable suppliers and committing to purchase requisitioned needs.
  • Draft purchase orders and amendments, ensuring all technical and commercial specifications are met, and follow up to confirm compliance.
  • Review invoice discrepancies and collaborate with suppliers for resolution of rejected, canceled, and surplus materials.
  • Identify and evaluate new supply sources to enhance procurement capabilities.
  • Initiate cycle counts and inventory adjustments as required.
  • Engage in special projects related to production control as assigned.
  • Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills, maintaining high ethical standards.
