Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Group Exercise Instructor to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City. As a Group Exercise Instructor, you will be responsible for leading group fitness classes and promoting a healthy lifestyle to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead group exercise classes and related activities
  • Prepare participants for class and provide a safe and engaging experience
  • Stay current in CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid certification
  • Attend mandatory association Health and Fitness meetings and staff meetings
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Develop positive relationships with members and provide motivational support and guidance
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School education or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months or 60 hours of practical experience in group exercise class instruction
  • Must be able to lift in excess of ten pounds
  • YMCA Healthy Lifestyles and YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise or National Certification
