We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Schiavone. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading project meetings, collecting and disseminating information, and ensuring timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead project meetings to collect and disseminate information, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Review and resolve technical specifications and drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between the company and the owner, ensuring seamless communication.
- Schedule and monitor program activity to achieve on-time results, including follow-up with external suppliers to ensure timely response to action items.
- Create bills of materials, referencing project drawings and specifications.
- Review quotations, utilizing supplier information, cost standards, and technical information from quality, manufacturing, engineering, and design.
- Determine the possibility of conflicts or delays in the construction process by reviewing project drawings, analyzing the process, and suggesting preventative steps for correction.
- Ensure project charges are correctly represented for accounting's closing process.
- Manage subcontractors and change orders on projects.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university, Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in a construction firm.
- Field experience preferred.
- Goal-oriented, able to set goals and achieve them.
- Interpersonal skills, able to work well and persuade people at all organization levels.
