Conflicts Analyst Job Description

Trustpoint is seeking a skilled Conflicts Analyst to join their team in Roseland, NJ. As a Conflicts Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the firm's compliance with laws and regulations governing conflicts of interest.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform conflict of interest searches and generate reports using internal and external databases.
  • Assist attorneys in interpreting conflict of interest reports.
  • Update and maintain the integrity of the firm's names database.
  • Provide orientation to new employees on relevant firm processes.
  • Maintain close working relationships with Conflicts, Finance, IT, Recruiting, and other departments.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts of interest associated with lateral candidate admissions and new business intakes.
  • Analyze and summarize conflict search reports to identify actual and potential conflicts of interest.
  • Provide timely status reports to the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel, Conflicts, and Recruiting Departments.
  • Create and coordinate responses to auditor inquiries.
  • Oversee the audit letter workflow to ensure timely and accurate process.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) required.
  • Paralegal training/certificate preferred.
  • JD's who are not interested in practicing law will be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years' conflict of interest experience in a law firm.
  • Familiarity with Intapp Open preferred.
  • Knowledge of laws, Rules of Professional Conduct, and risk management requirements governing conflicts of interest and conflicts resolution processes.
  • Experience doing legal and corporate affiliation research.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and work within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to understand, analyze, interpret, and prepare complex conflict reports.
  • General knowledge of transactional and litigation matters and ability to identify incomplete party information.
  • Familiarity with name aliases of major organizations.
  • Ability to treat sensitive/confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with and adherence to all firm policies and procedures.
