Job Summary

The City of Charlottesville is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Customer Service Attendant II. This position will provide exceptional customer service and support to the public, while also assisting with facility management and program coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to the public, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with facility management, including supervising activities, facilities, classes, and events.
  • Coordinate programs and events, including registration, scheduling, and logistics.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including incident and accident reports.
  • Supervise temporary or volunteer staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of six months of professional experience in facility management, adaptive recreation programs, athletics, or other recreational environments.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including early mornings, weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional coursework in athletics, recreation, fitness, and wellness or related field preferred.
Working Conditions

This position may require working in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and deadlines. The employee must be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
