Overview:
The IT Systems Specialist requires a solid understanding of the various domains supported by the enterprise systems division. This role involves testing, troubleshooting, and implementing intricate server technologies, operating system components, software tools, utilities, and applications.

The position entails staging and maintaining multiple environments or versions of applications, as well as assisting with the integration of new technologies into the existing infrastructure necessary to support the enterprise.

The role demands strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
Operates under the guidance of the Manager/Director or Systems Engineer.

Plans and organizes tasks to fulfill assignments from the manager or designated senior engineering personnel who provide direction.

Engages in formal or informal meetings with the manager or designated senior staff to discuss progress, seek assistance on challenging issues, and review achievements.

Supports IT Operations by providing third-level assistance to the enterprise.

Collaborates with enterprise systems, systems assurance, application development, and operations services to develop, implement, and maintain the technological infrastructure.

Creates monitoring systems utilized to manage global infrastructure and accepts technical accountability for equipment and assigned technologies.

Makes assessments and recommendations.

Contributes to the analysis, design, and development of new technologies.

Documents design, implementation, and final configuration findings for both new and existing techniques and equipment.

Oversees system demonstrations.

Analyzes issues, reviews technical literature, and evaluates existing technology.

Escalates unresolved problems to vendors and/or senior management for resolution.

Maintains an up-to-date understanding of strategic product offerings and vendor selections.

Initiates problem reporting tickets and accurately utilizes all problem tracking software systems.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Must adhere to the organization's Policies and Procedures.

Must be capable of using common hand tools and electronic testing equipment to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with computers, peripherals, and software.


Must collaborate with members of the Technical Staff and Management in a dynamic environment to identify, isolate, and resolve hardware and software issues during testing.

Must maintain technical documentation for all systems deployed within the enterprise.


Must coordinate with Compliance Officials and Vendors to manage the transfer of test software into and out of the testing environment in accordance with internal controls.

Provides technical and programming support to project teams.

Analyzes business requirements and makes necessary modifications to application software.

Tests system software modifications/patches/service packs to ensure the accuracy of changes.

Prepares system documentation.

Works with key users to resolve system-related problems and issues.

Collaborates with project team members to design, test, and implement system modifications.

Develops, implements, and supports custom system software, reports, and monitoring dashboards.

Qualifications:
Must be proficient with Microsoft operating systems.

Requires well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

Able to work independently for an entire shift.

Experience in the following areas is advantageous: Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Project, Active Directory, Windows, and System Monitoring Tools.

Must be willing to travel to remote locations as required to support operations.

Must be fluent in the English language.

Must comply with internal controls.

Must demonstrate well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
