Job Title: National Carrier Segment Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled National Carrier Segment Leader to join our team at C.H. Robinson. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and strategy for our national carrier segment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and execute segment vision and strategy.
  • Drive business decision-making through the use of analytics and technology to improve efficiency, productivity, and financial results.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand carrier behaviors and performance, and to voice carrier dynamics.
  • Collaborate with strategic procurement and product/service teams to identify growth opportunities and increase utilization of non-traditional brokerage options.
  • Develop strong knowledge of industry trends and market drivers related to the segment, and stay connected to the segment carrier community.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in transportation or logistics.
  • Minimum 3 years of people management experience, preferably managing people leaders.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% (domestically).
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Previous C.H. Robinson carrier-facing experience.
  • Solid understanding of CHR carrier-focused analytics.
  • Experience managing financials for a business segment.
  • Ability to understand and communicate financial metrics, including P&L.
  • Demonstrated success generating revenue or business growth in a carrier-facing role with sales, account management, or carrier management experience.
  • Broad market and industry knowledge, and vertical expertise (if applicable).
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects.
  • Proficiency presenting to both internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, collaboration, and influencing skills.
