Job Title: HR Generalist

At The Goodkind Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. As an HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's adherence to employment policies and safety regulations, while also managing day-to-day HR functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Talent Acquisition: Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, attending job fairs, posting positions on job platforms, reviewing candidate applications and resumes, scheduling and performing interviews, background and reference checks, and hiring and onboarding of qualified job applicants.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training and workforce development programs and initiatives for employee growth and skill enhancement.
  • Employee Relations: Oversee employee disciplinary actions, terminations, and investigations following company guidelines and legal prerequisites.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; actively review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Performance Management: Initiate and facilitate a timely annual performance review process; perform reviews and/or assist department managers and supervisors as needed.
  • Safety and Health: Coordinate, manage, and implement safety program initiatives and committees at each facility.
  • Communication: Actively plan, coordinate, and participate in quarterly staff meetings and other company events.
  • Documentation: File documents into appropriate employee files and prepare new-employee files.
  • Environmental Health and Safety: Develop and implement environmental health and safety (EHS) programs and policies; provide guidance and training to employees on EHS procedures and practices.
  • Investigations: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of human resource management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certificate in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety highly preferred.
  • BA or certificate in Human Resources Management is a plus.
  • Must be OSHA 10 or 30, CPR and AED Certification
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems or other ERP software as needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and detailed orientated.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and delegate when appropriate.
  • Experience in conducting accident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to fabricate solutions to complex EHS issues.
  • Proficient in report writing and documentation skills.
