Position Summary
Tokamak Energy (TE) is seeking a Technical Operations Coordinator to enhance our US operations through effective administrative assistance, community outreach, and talent management. As a rapidly growing entity since our establishment in 2019, TE Inc. is poised to expand its influence in the fusion energy sector. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the establishment of our US office, explore new avenues in fusion technology and magnetic systems, and assist the TE Inc. team in executing the US Department of Energy's Fusion Pilot Plant initiative.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support:
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, manage correspondence, calendars, and prepare necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to oversee logistics for secondments and visitors, ensuring travel, accommodation, and presentation materials are arranged as needed.
- Collaborate with the UK TE Ltd financial team to ensure seamless payroll and financial reporting for TE Inc.
Community Engagement:
- Develop and implement a community engagement strategy in partnership with consultants to foster strong relationships with local communities near our US operations.
- Work alongside local stakeholders and government representatives to align community initiatives with the company’s objectives and values.
- Represent TE Inc. at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Utilize knowledge of fusion science and engineering to assist in crafting business proposals and funding applications for expansion projects.
Talent Management:
- Collaborate with stakeholders from both US TE Inc. and UK TE Ltd to create and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition and retention strategy.
- Support onboarding and professional development initiatives to promote employee growth and career progression.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to cultivate a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- A strong passion for organizational management and business operations.
- Ability to work independently, maintain organization, and hold team members accountable.
- Experience in supporting teams with administrative and project-related tasks.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in identifying opportunities for operational efficiency and implementing best practices across programs.

- Preferred experience in startup environments.
- Familiarity with US government and national laboratories is advantageous.
- Background in the energy sector is a plus.
- Educational background in science, engineering, or nuclear physics is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.
