Job Title: Gifted Education Specialist

Birmingham City Schools is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Gifted Education Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our students.

Job Summary:

The Gifted Education Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and abilities of gifted students. You will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure that our students receive the best possible education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for gifted students
  • Collaborate with teachers to create engaging and challenging lesson plans
  • Provide guidance and support to students to help them reach their full potential
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
  • Supervise and monitor student movement and ensure a safe and respectful learning environment
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Alabama Teacher's Certificate
  • Experience working with gifted students and knowledge of differentiated instruction
