Medical Office Support Specialist

Job Description:
Patient Care Responsibilities:- Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms
- Take and record patient vitals and temperature
- Assist technologists or physician assistants as needed
- Enter patient information into records and schedule appointments
- Communicate with supervisors regarding patient medications and potential contraindications
- Monitor clinic schedules and assist with managing add-on appointments
- Facilitate patient flow with direction from supervisors
- Discharge patients from the clinic with necessary information and documentation
- Call or fax prescriptions
- Contact patients to follow up on procedures or treatments
- Document patient prep calls in records
- Assemble next day's paperwork daily
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Certified Medical Assistant and CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Data entry experience
- Ability to type 40 wpm
