Job Overview

We are in search of a proficient Senior Research Analyst with extensive experience in survey methodology, data interpretation, and open-source intelligence. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of sampling techniques, data visualization, and focus group strategies, along with the capability to convert intricate client requirements into effective research methodologies. This role necessitates experience in managing classified information at the Secret level.

Note: An active Secret clearance is mandatory for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Information Operations Assessment:

  • Perform thorough evaluations of activities within the information landscape.
  • Gather and scrutinize open-source unclassified survey and assessment data from various channels including online, in-person, and telephonic surveys.
  • Combine open-source information with classified operational data, such as SIGINT and HUMINT, to assess partner force operational activities and investments.

Survey and Focus Group Development:

  • Design and implement surveys and focus groups aligned with client campaign goals and evaluation standards.
  • Ensure that all surveys and focus groups accurately represent the target demographic and achieve optimal response rates.
  • Conduct analyses to identify nonresponse bias and perform pretesting to reduce measurement errors and improve data reliability.

Planning and Design:

  • Translate client objectives into practical survey and focus group inquiries.
  • Establish realistic timelines, budget estimates, and sampling strategies using recognized statistical techniques.

Data Management and Analysis:

  • Evaluate survey and focus group data utilizing established statistical methodologies.
  • Employ and oversee commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software for data analysis and visualization to produce comprehensive reports and graphics.
  • Manage an assessment dashboard system that tracks key performance indicators for projects and activities.
  • Ensure that all analyses and findings are accessible and comprehensible to clients.

Digital Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct digital investigations on social media platforms to assess behavioral and sentiment trends.
  • Organize and process digital data from diverse sources to enhance research and analysis.
  • Examine consumer trends for both private and state-owned enterprises as outlined in operational documentation.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and deliver various reports that detail assessment findings and insights.
  • Present results in clear, concise reports featuring data visualizations that are easily interpretable by non-specialists.

Meeting Coordination:

  • Assist in organizing meetings and managing attendance, invitations, registrations, and reminders.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of events and data collection.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in an operational setting related to Information Operations, or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, managing, conducting, and analyzing surveys.
  • Experience in assessing operations within the information environment, particularly with the integration of open-source and classified data.
  • Proficient in handling classified materials at the Top-Secret level.
  • Experience in conducting all-source intelligence gathering and reporting network analysis.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and data visualization skills, with proficiency in COTS software tools.
  • Excellent communication and reporting capabilities.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.

Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications: Fluency in English and Spanish is highly desirable, with the ability to provide expert translation services.

Physical Requirements: Candidates must be able to perform the following physical demands for extended periods:

  • Remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) for most of the time.
  • View a computer screen/monitor.
  • Utilize a keyboard.

The salary range for this role is $130,000 – $140,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as education, training, experience, business needs, and location.
