Full-Time Patent Prosecution Scientist

At Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated patent prosecution scientist to join our dynamic team through the Firm's alternative-track attorney and staffing program, DWTSurge.
We are particularly interested in candidates with a technical background in computer technology and hands-on experience supporting a diverse range of clients, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, across various technology areas such as mechanical devices, consumer products, and designs.
Technical experience with cloud computing, cryptography, information security, robotics or blockchain are also desirable qualifications for this position.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years of experience with patent prosecution as a patent scientist
- A minimum of a BS degree and industry experience in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field
- Familiarity with operations of large organizations with established patent programs
- Strong work ethic and commitment to being responsive to client needs
- Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability working independently without significant supervision and proven performance managing a workload efficiently
This full-time contract patent scientist position offers an annualized salary range of $114,000 to $130,000. The role is open to remote work and flexible scheduling arrangements can be discussed.
