Amazon, a leader in e-commerce and cloud computing, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Scientist to join its Perfect Order Experience (POE) Economics team. This full-time research position will be based in the United States.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will work closely with senior science advisors and collaborate with other scientists and engineers to develop causal solutions that maximize Return of Investment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing scalable Machine Learning/AI models to enable teams to optimize their investment strategies;
  • Publishing innovative methodologies in top-tier academic venues and presenting findings to internal stakeholders;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to launch cutting-edge products and services.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • A PhD in a relevant field, received within 2 years of starting the program;
  • A proven publication record in Machine Learning, Robotics, Computer Vision, AI, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, or other related technical fields;
  • Experience in data science and quantitative research;
  • Proficiency in technologies relevant to the sub-field.

Preferred qualifications include independent delivery of results in a fast-paced environment, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and expertise in modeling and performance, operationalization, and scalability of scientific techniques.

Compensation

Estimated annual salary: $140,000 - $160,000 depending on experience and location.
