Role Responsibilities

The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for managing various aspects of inventory control and ensuring the accuracy of incoming and outgoing materials. The key duties include:

  • Overseeing all incoming shipments, both inventory and non-inventory.
  • Verifying the quality of received items.
  • Processing receipt documentation accurately by matching it with Purchase Orders, pack slips, and ERP system data.
  • Updating the ERP system with receipt information.
  • Monitoring MRP for demand on incoming products and allocating them to in-process jobs as necessary.
  • Collaborating with Buyers/Planners to resolve discrepancies in quantities or damages.
  • Labeling and organizing inventory items in designated locations.
  • Retrieving parts for production jobs and managing parts issuance in the ERP system, addressing any shortages as they arise.
  • Executing inventory transactions in the ERP system, including necessary ECO design change transactions.
  • Conducting daily cycle counts of production inventory and addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Handling miscellaneous daily shipping tasks as required.
  • Maintaining adequate inventory control supplies for receiving and shipping.
  • Coordinating with external vendors to support manufacturing schedules.
  • Processing incoming DMRs by managing PO receipts, notifying QA, and closing DMR jobs.
  • Assisting Customer Service by opening jobs, retrieving parts, and managing kitting processes.
  • Optimizing space by relocating and consolidating inventory items as needed.
  • Implementing recommendations for slow-moving or obsolete inventory, including stocking levels and replenishment policies.
  • Participating in inventory and warehouse improvement initiatives.
  • Adhering to all safety training and organizational policies.
  • Performing other assigned duties as required.
