Pediatric Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Care Specialist to join our team at Texas Children's Hospital. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to infants, children, and teenagers in our pediatric care network.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the collection of patient/family data
  • Provide general patient care, including administering medication and immunizations
  • Support patient/families in self-management of their health through education and assistance
  • Triage patients and coordinate referrals as needed
  • Collect specimens and perform laboratory tests
Requirements:
  • High school graduate, GED, or equivalent
  • Diploma or Certificate from a school of vocational nursing or documentation from the Texas Board of Nursing verifying an exception to the requirement
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) by the State of Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or Compact
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Heart Association
