Senior Quality Assurance Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Optima Organizational Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading quality assurance systems to ensure that manufacturing processes meet required product standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance systems to ensure compliance with AS9100 and industry regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and appraise performance of quality assurance personnel, including hiring, training, and recommending salary adjustments.
- Schedule and track inspection, lab, and testing activities to achieve maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
- Interpret customer, corporate, and division quality standards for plant personnel and develop site procedures and processes in support of the division quality assurance manual.
- Lead and promote the quality assurance philosophy, including preventive quality systems.
- Implement and maintain procedures for inspection, disposition, and record retention for incoming raw materials and components, and review quality issues with suppliers.
- Proactively identify and address root causes of non-conformance, measure non-conformance costs, and maintain data collection and statistical systems to aid in process control and root cause problem identification.
- Coordinate regular management meetings to review corrective action and quality systems, and publish regular reports and identified trends.
- Interface with customers, engineering, and operations to identify requirements, plan for product realization, and support continuous improvements in manufacturing processes and systems.
- Ensure compliance with NADCAP, AS9100, and industry regulatory requirements, and coordinate and conduct customer and accreditation audits.
- Enhance and implement the internal audit system and associated corrective actions, and lead training efforts for plant employees on total preventive quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with preventive quality systems or relative military experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory level experience overseeing quality systems.
- Preferred requirements include a minimum of 15 years in a manufacturing environment or combination of relevant military experience, and ASQ certifications such as CQE, CQM, CRE, or CSSBB.
