At Volt, we're looking for a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Fullerton. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out SOPs related to Food Safety and Quality, including document control, scanning documents, filing, data entry, lab work, and production floor presence.
  • Process and maintain the Quality holds system by distributing, keeping track of status, and creating disposal or spillage documents in Smartsheet/ERP system for approval.
  • Maintain, create, and update company policies and procedures in Alchemy software, serving as a backup trainer for Alchemy training.
  • Support microbiological testing by reading plates when the microbiologist is absent.
  • Ensure all suppliers' documents are current and on file, and maintain and update all vendor documents to meet SQF and FSMA requirements.
  • Prepare customer documents such as COA and create reports, memos, letters, and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet database, or presentation software as required.
  • Attend and record meetings, compile minutes, and distribute them accordingly.
  • Scan, verify, and archive documentation and records, ensuring the timely input of database entries.
  • Set up products for sensory evaluation and distribute sensory evaluation information to the QA Manager.

Requirements:

  • Detail-oriented and a team player with great communication skills.
  • Accountable, results-driven, and self-motivated with the ability to multitask.
  • Integrity and interpersonal skills with basic English skills in reading, writing, and speech.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of experience in the field of Food Manufacturing.
  • Ability to read instructions and follow directions.
  • Knowledge of ERP, WMS, and Microsoft Suite is preferred.
