Job Summary:

Retail Operations Supervisors are tasked with upholding a favorable image of Wood Shed Lumber & Hardware by delivering exceptional customer service that aligns with company principles.

The primary responsibility of Retail Operations Supervisors is to support the store manager in ensuring a motivated, efficient, and productive sales team.

They should continuously enhance their understanding of the retail sector and leadership practices.

Responsibilities:


Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting patrons, both in-person and via phone, addressing their inquiries, guiding them to find products, and recommending additional items that will aid in completing their projects.

This may also involve managing special orders.
Assist the store manager with store opening and closing procedures.
Encourage teamwork among staff members. Inspire the team to uphold high standards of customer service and contribute to the overall success of the establishment.
Assist in conducting regular inventory checks.
Promptly address customer complaints and resolve them to the best of your ability.
Oversee store operations and staff in the absence of the store manager.
Ensure adherence to all store policies and safety regulations.
Assist in merchandising the store, including arranging planograms, endcaps, power aisle displays, and other promotional materials.
Help maintain signage, including setting up and taking down promotional displays.
Participate in inventory ordering and pricing.
Train and oversee the training of sales associates and cashiers.
Support store staff with daily tasks as required.
Remain vigilant to identify potential theft and respond appropriately, following store policies.
Attend and occasionally lead staff meetings.
Be proactive in suggesting and implementing changes to enhance business processes and operations.

Qualifications:
Exceptional customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
Ability to supervise other team members and grasp the fundamentals of leadership.
A solid understanding of the products available in the store with a willingness to continue learning.
Organized, self-motivated individual capable of independent thinking and problem-solving.
Strong mathematical, reading, writing, and communication abilities.
Capacity to follow through on tasks and maintain productivity throughout the day.
Proficient in operating the store's point-of-sale system. Other computer skills include familiarity with MS Word and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of effective sales techniques and methods.
Able to lift up to 80 lbs.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Goals:
