Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Lifespan. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will perform and interpret ultrasonic evaluations of the heart, ensuring the highest level of patient care and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform M-mode and two-dimensional echocardiography, Doppler echocardiography, and other techniques as required.
  • Follow imaging protocols as outlined in the CVI procedure manual.
  • Explain echocardiographic procedures to patients and answer their questions.
  • Provide safety and comfort to patients in accordance with prescribed standards.
  • Assist in teaching cardiology fellows and maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise in the field.
  • Participate in data collection and analysis of research conducted by physician staff.
  • Maintain quality assurance, safety, and environmental and infection control in accordance with established hospital department policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a CAAEP-accredited ultrasound program.
  • Eligibility to sit for the certificate examination offered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Two years of experience in Cardiac Ultrasound.

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a healthcare environment, interacting with medical office equipment and patients. Adherence to established safety procedures and precautions is essential.
