Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Device Specialist to join our team at Brown University Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for interrogating, interpreting, and re-programming cardiac devices with minimal physician supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interrogate and interpret cardiac devices to ensure accurate and efficient patient care.
  • Re-program devices as needed to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians to discuss device status and document analysis in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Educate patients on device usage, remote monitoring, and follow-up protocols.
  • Ensure accurate charge capture for device interrogation services.
  • Travel to associate offices for device clinics and participate in positive, proactive communication with colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners device exam (IBHRE) or Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) certification preferred.
  • Two years of cardiac device analysis and reprogramming experience or equivalent.
  • Current BLS certification required.

Work Environment:

Ambulatory care environment with minimal hazards and good working conditions.
