Position Overview:
The Construction Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the Native Village of Chenega, situated in the breathtaking Prince William Sound. This role is centered in one of Alaska's stunning natural environments, where expertise and technical proficiency are essential for executing a range of construction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in the successful completion of diverse and fulfilling construction projects, encompassing both fieldwork and administrative tasks on-site.
- Supervise junior staff, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure effective project execution.
- Collaborate with fellow leads and the Project Manager to coordinate projects, including the assignment of work orders and participation in the development of project plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Identify and address safety concerns on job sites, implementing safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel involved.
- Manage material planning, procurement, and logistics for construction projects.
- Perform administrative tasks such as daily job reporting, project planning, budgeting, and documentation as necessary.
- This role operates on a remote and rotational basis, with a schedule to be determined, typically involving multi-week rotations.
- Provide direct supervision to contract personnel assigned to projects under your oversight.
- Undertake additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of five years of experience in the construction sector, with comprehensive knowledge of various vertical construction phases and a journeyman-level skill in at least one area.
- Experience in rural construction operations is preferred.
- Maintain a favorable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Proficient in technology and familiar with various systems.
- Ability to interpret and follow construction plans and blueprints.
- Capable of fostering effective working relationships with Council members, the Tribal Administrator, Council staff, village residents, Chenega Corporation personnel, vendors, and the public.
- Strong organizational skills, self-directed, and able to work independently while making informed decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while providing exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Adaptability to overcome challenges in a remote work environment.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, or listen. The role demands a significant level of physical exertion, including repetitive motions involving the arms, wrists, hands, and fingers. Occasional requirements include walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision.

Work Environment:
The employee typically works in a climate-controlled office setting, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. During site visits, the employee may encounter extreme weather conditions and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noises.
