About the Position:

This is an outstanding opportunity for a skilled pediatric emergency medicine physician to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Division: Provide leadership and direction to our team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide high-quality patient care within the emergency department, supervising trainees and non-licensed providers.
  • Education and Research: Participate in providing core curriculum lectures to medical students and residents, as well as contribute to nursing, housestaff, medical student, and paramedic educational programs.
  • Departmental Projects: Actively participate in Departmental research projects when required.

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Unrestricted Virginia Medical license or ability to qualify for one.
  • Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
  • Residency: Graduate from a Pediatric Residency program.
  • Fellowship: Completion of a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship.
  • Diversity: Demonstrated experience working in a diverse environment or commitment to do so.

Estimated Salary: $280,000 - $380,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
