Job Description

This is a full-time Clinical position with a salary range estimated at $200,000 - $300,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing oversight for clinical activities of the division, supporting the clinical mission of CHoR of VCU Health system. Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching Faculty member will have teaching responsibilities in the area of Adolescent Medicine, guiding Residents and Chief Residents in their field.
  • Research: Faculty member will have working knowledge in basic research methods and participate in clinical, translational and outcomes research.
  • Service: Faculty member will serve on departmental or School of Medicine level committees and engage in professional activities through journal review and conference presentations.
  • Clinical: Provide oversight for clinical activities of the division in support of the clinical mission of CHoR of VCU Health system.

Qualifications

We seek a Board Certified physician in General Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with experience working with adolescents and education of house-staff, medical students, and others. A demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment is essential.

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Board Certification in General Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
    • Experience with adolescents
    • Experience with education of house-staff, medical students, and others
    • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Sub-board and/or additional graduate degree
    • Experience with advocacy at local, state, and national level
    • Success in generating revenue (grants/contracts)
