Research Fellow in Pathology

Are you prepared to contribute to pioneering research?
As a Research Fellow, you will work autonomously while closely collaborating with the Principal Investigator and fellow Research Scientists. You will engage in both routine and intricate laboratory procedures throughout your training period.
Your responsibilities will include analyzing and interpreting data, assisting in the preparation of grant proposals, and participating in publications and presentations as an author or co-author. Note that you will not be responsible for generating grant funds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, though not responsible for securing funding.
- Engage in publications and presentations as an author or co-author.
- Design and execute experiments, maintaining accurate experimental records and documentation.
- Collaborate with the Principal Investigator to analyze results.
- Develop, adapt, and implement novel research techniques and protocols.
- Analyze, interpret, summarize, and compile data effectively.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
Qualifications
Education:
Doctorate (MD, PhD, VMD, or DDS) in a field directly related to your research specialization.
Experience & Skills:
A robust background in Innate Immunology or biochemistry and animal models, evidenced by first-author publications in reputable scientific journals. Experience with biochemical techniques and immune-relevant animal models is highly preferred.
Ability to work independently on research projects designed by a mentor (typically the Principal Investigator) within your area of expertise.
Develop a comprehensive technical and theoretical understanding of the research project and objectives during your one to five (1-5) year post-doctoral appointment.
Demonstrated proficiency in executing experimental protocols and procedures, including meticulous data collection, analysis, and the operation and maintenance of specialized equipment.
Familiarity with safety standards and the upkeep of specialized equipment is essential.
