Key Responsibilities:

  • Program CNC machines using diverse software to optimize production efficiency.
  • Operate lathes, mills, and grinders (both manual and CNC) to produce high-quality components.
  • Inspect completed units for defects and accuracy using precision tools to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Train operators in machine shop skills and programming to enhance team performance.
  • Manage departmental functions, including continuous improvement initiatives to drive productivity and efficiency.
  • Design fixtures and tooling to enhance machining processes and improve product quality.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and ethical standards to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Review and adjust production schedules for timely delivery to meet customer demands.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with MasterCam or similar software to program CNC machines.
  • Proficiency in CNC mills, lathes, and grinders to operate and maintain equipment.
  • Previous supervision experience to lead and manage a team.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and instructions to understand production requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in machining operations to resolve complex issues.

Additional Skills:

  • Proficient in basic computer operations to manage production data and reports.
  • Knowledge of machine shop maintenance practices to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
