Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Asphalt Screed Operator to join our team at APAC-Atlantic, a CRH Company. As a key member of our paving crew, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our asphalt paving machines to ensure high-quality results on our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate asphalt paving machines safely and efficiently to achieve precise material distribution and compaction.
  • Monitor and control material flow, ensuring optimal asphalt quality and consistency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to maintain optimal working condition.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one to two years of experience in asphalt and road construction preferred.
  • Strong understanding of asphalt paving principles, including material properties, compaction techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on safety and quality.
