The Bulk Book Sales Account Executive will play a crucial role in maximizing value, selection, and fulfillment for customers placing bulk orders on Amazon Business. This position is integral to the evolution of the program, addressing complex operational challenges, utilizing data-driven insights for decision-making, and working alongside cross-functional teams to enhance customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Bulk Order Management: Oversee the fulfillment of bulk book orders for organizational clients, including verifying inventory, finalizing selections, and implementing pricing strategies.

Process Optimization and Program Excellence:

Engage with publishers, sales, operations, vendor management, and product teams to identify innovative solutions that enhance the purchasing and delivery process for bulk orders.


  • Client Relationship Management: Provide ongoing support to customers, publishers, and internal teams, driving success in selection, pricing, and operational efficiency.


The ideal candidate will possess strong account management capabilities, a passion for operational excellence, and proficiency in data analysis and decision-making. They should be adept at adhering to established processes while actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

This role requires meticulous attention to detail across various stages of order execution while managing a high volume of orders efficiently.


Above all, candidates should demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, with the ability to identify and resolve issues, as they will be essential in delivering bulk book orders to customers, ensuring their satisfaction, and enhancing their overall experience with Amazon Business.

Essential Functions:

  • Bulk Order Management:
    Evaluate available inventory and sourcing options with publishers to fulfill customer requests for specific titles and quantities.
  • Support pricing negotiations with customers and implement agreed-upon pricing for selected titles.
  • Monitor inventory flow from publishers to customers, providing timely updates to ensure on-time order completion.
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently while adhering to established protocols.
Process Improvement and Program Excellence:

  • Assist in defining and designing processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and tools for the team.
  • Identify and recommend improvements or automation opportunities that enhance efficiency and customer experience in collaboration with other Books programs.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to pinpoint issues and develop action plans to resolve complex challenges.
Client Relationship Management:

  • Establish strong relationships, act as a trusted advisor, and provide timely, accurate support to customers, publishers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain oversight of order execution and status communication both internally and externally.
Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in sales or account management
2+ years of experience in client-facing roles
Proficiency in Excel
Experience in data analysis and performance assessment
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in analyzing key issues and resolution metrics for managed accounts
Experience in relationship management within technology or SaaS environments
