Position: Technical Support Specialist

Role Overview: MIKEL is currently in search of a candidate for the Technical Support Specialist position. This role involves delivering technical assistance to a team, specifically supporting the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNWPT) Code 25 laboratory. Ideal candidates should exhibit exceptional organizational skills and possess strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account creation across various applications
  • Offer technical assistance and support for incoming inquiries and issues related to web-based applications
  • Leverage knowledge bases and in-house developer support to identify optimal solutions based on customer-reported issues
  • Engage with customers to ascertain the nature of their problems
  • Follow up with clients to confirm resolution of issues
  • Provide program support to government clients, including general administrative, clerical, writing, and ad hoc programmatic tasks
  • Assist in the documentation and dissemination of secure laboratory policies and procedures
  • Facilitate purchasing through the DoD ITPR process
  • Monitor COTS software licenses and renewals
  • Conduct daily meetings with government clients to manage task requirements and shifting priorities

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Navy policies and procedures related to secure laboratories is advantageous

Work Location: Middletown, RI
