Position: Technical Support Specialist
Role Overview: MIKEL is currently in search of a candidate for the Technical Support Specialist position. This role involves delivering technical assistance to a team, specifically supporting the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNWPT) Code 25 laboratory. Ideal candidates should exhibit exceptional organizational skills and possess strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account creation across various applications
- Offer technical assistance and support for incoming inquiries and issues related to web-based applications
- Leverage knowledge bases and in-house developer support to identify optimal solutions based on customer-reported issues
- Engage with customers to ascertain the nature of their problems
- Follow up with clients to confirm resolution of issues
- Provide program support to government clients, including general administrative, clerical, writing, and ad hoc programmatic tasks
- Assist in the documentation and dissemination of secure laboratory policies and procedures
- Facilitate purchasing through the DoD ITPR process
- Monitor COTS software licenses and renewals
- Conduct daily meetings with government clients to manage task requirements and shifting priorities
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Navy policies and procedures related to secure laboratories is advantageous
Work Location: Middletown, RI

A Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance or higher is required at the time of hire.
