Job Responsibilities
- Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and direction to team members to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
- Customer Service: Foster a positive and welcoming environment for customers, addressing their needs and resolving any issues promptly.
- Sales and Profitability: Monitor and achieve sales targets, managing inventory levels and purchasing decisions to maximize profit margins.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and manage operating budgets, projecting annual sales and expenses to inform business decisions.
- Vendor Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring efficient ordering and inventory management.
- Team Development: Select, train, and develop team members, promoting a culture of teamwork and mutual respect.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for employees.
Requirements
- Leadership Experience: A minimum of 24 months of retail experience, with 12+ months in a team leadership role.
- Meat Industry Knowledge: Proven expertise in the meat industry, including knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.
- Certifications and Training: Possess Food Safety certification and Certified Meat Journeyman or equivalent training.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team-building, and customer relationship skills.
- Mathematical and Analytical Skills: Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
Working Conditions
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday, and perform repetitive motions.
- Environmental Factors: Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals, temperatures up to 90°F, and wet/cold environments.
Benefits and Salary
As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
